The Baby Bjorn Bouncer Review
Our experience with the BabyBjörn Bouncer
About the BabyBjörn Bouncer
If you're a mother, chances are you've been bombarded with ads for the BabyBjörn Bouncer. This bouncer is one of the most popular on the market, and it's easy to see why. It's sturdy, well-made, and can be used from birth until your child is two years old. But is it really worth the price tag? I decided to put it to the test to find out.
First impressions of the BabyBjörn Bouncer
I have to say that I was impressed with the BabyBjörn Bouncer. It was very easy to assemble, and my baby seemed very comfortable in it. I liked that I could adjust the angle of the seat to three different angles, as well as the straps that held my baby in place.
The fabric was also very soft and breathable, which is important so that the baby does not get too hot and is not aggravated by uncomfortable straps.
How do I clean the BabyBjörn Bouncer?
The BabyBjörn is very easy to disassemble and wash. Simply unhook the security loops, slide off the fabric cover, and machine wash at 100°F (40°C) inside of a laundry bag or pillow case. Make sure not to tumble dry or iron this product as it could cause damage.
How to remove, wash and attach the bouncer fabric seatIs the BabyBjörn Bouncer safe?
The BabyBjörn Bouncer was developed alongside medical professionals and was designed with ergonomics in mind from the start. There is ample support for your baby's head, neck and back and all of their weight is distributed evenly across the soft fabric that holds them. Additionally, since there are three separate adjustment levels, your baby can grow with this product and not be uncomfortable or in danger.
This product is recommended for babies from the newborn age up until two years old or when they start sitting up on their own. The weight recommendations are from between 8 pounds up until 29 pounds.
Benefits of the BabyBjörn Bouncer
Bouncing and swaying can be calming for a baby early on because it reminds them of being in the womb. That said, bouncers are not ideal for prolonged sleep or as a good place to regularly nap.
A huge benefit of baby bouncers would be as a method of trying to soothe a colicky baby.
Downsides of the BabyBjörn Bouncer
The one downside of the bouncer is that it doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles. There are no music or vibration settings, and the bouncing is not adjustable. However, I found that my baby was content just looking around at her surroundings, so this wasn't a huge issue for us.
Final thoughts on the BabyBjörn Bouncer
Overall, I was very pleased with the BabyBjörn Bouncer.
It's well-made, comfortable, and easy to use. If you're looking for a basic bouncer without any extra features, this is a great option. However, if you want something with more bells and whistles, you may want to look elsewhere.
